Marketing Committee: Judy Schaffer announced that a total of 11 questionnaires were returned. One common comment was it may be difficult to get good attendance because the workplace is less likely to pay for seminars. However, Sheila Kramer attended a seminar in Cape Girardeau on wound care and they had over 120 nurses, P.T.s and doctors attend. (Sheila was one of the presenters).

It was felt that September or October would be a good time.

Ideas for seminars: WOCN focus or legal workshop

A motion was made by Judy Schaffer for the Marketing committee to go over the information provided, to determine when to have the seminar, and to decide on the topic. Sharon Waldmann seconded and the motion was approved.

Mobile Program: Still working on getting CEU’s.

Announcements:

  • Sharon Waldmann is leaving Unity Home Care to take a part time position at St. Louis Medical Supply. Unity Home Care will be looking for a full time WOCN.
  • Jackie Bangert announced she will be retiring from DePaul. She plans to do some moonlighting. DePaul Hospital will be looking for a full time WOCN.
  • Audrey Moyer is looking for a wound care nurse for Forest Park Wound Clinic.
  • Sheila Kramer is looking for a full time CWOCN to work with her at St. John’s.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Betsy Naeger, RN, BSN, CWOCN, Secretary – WOCN-St. Louis Affiliate
