Total: $26,748.13
Communications:
WOCN/NIWI (legislative branch of WOCN) tuition scholarship $700 to cover registration. 3/12-16,2006 at Washington Court Hotel, Washington, D.C. Voting members approved cost of airfare and hotel if someone receives scholarship. Judy Schaffer is interested and was encouraged to apply.
WOCN Website CE Certificates: National Conference CE certificates can be obtained from www.wocn.org.
ConvaTec pays the first year WOCN membership for new graduates.
WOCN has been accepted by ANA as organizational affiliate with 2 members on the board, 1 vote.
Lieberman Research is doing a study for WOCN about possibility of multidisciplinary organization vs. just nurses. Other disciplines not specified.

Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, 10/23-27, 2005. Marge Groom is presenting 2 posters. Audrey Moyer is attending.
12/6/05: Holiday Meeting with Educational Offering, Party. Mark your calendars! Election of new officers. Tabled question of having Vice President Elect to be voted in alternate year of Presidential election to move into President’s position.
UOA Report:
National organization has folded, but local UOA group is determined to help those undergoing ostomy surgery. Please call Betsy if you have any ostomy visitor requests, 314-725-1888.
Ostomy Visitor Program will be rescheduled, details to follow.
UOA-St. Louis Holiday Dinner Meeting 12/5 at St. Luke’s in N/S Doctor’s Building at 6:30 p.m. RSVP to Betsy Naeger 314-725-1888.
A new national ostomy group is being developed. It will be called the United Ostomy Association of America, Inc.
Business:
Peter McGinn, an ostomate from Portland, Maine, has written a novel entitled "Caught Holding the Bag". A chapter of this novel is on the publisher’s website: www.booklocker.com/books
