    Secretary Report:

  • April Kuhlman reported that we have 60 paid national members and approximately 7-10 paid local members. However, our mailing list has at least another 60 persons on it. This list is large and difficult to manage. We don’t have updated membership information. Judy Schaffer made a motion, seconded by Jackie Bangert to set the deadline for local membership by July 31st. Those failing to respond by July 31st will be removed from the mailing list. Motion carried.

    Treasurer Report:

  • Total in accounts: Beginning balance: $24,985.90. $15,000 was put in a 9 mos CD at the 4.5 % interest rate (due 1/5/07). We have $287.63 in business savings, $1706.10 in checking. Total balance: $24,998.88. We have received $720 from the national WOCN office for membership dues.
  • Lisa Hodges reported that we need to renew our contract for our website services for $300 for the next 12 mos. We discussed that some of the requested postings have not been as timely as we would like. Christine Heady made a motion (seconded by Diane Economan) to renew the contract with time frame guidelines to post information. Motion carried.

    UOA Report:

  • UOAA report—Betsy Naegar absent. No report.

    Business:

  • Discussion topic—Consulting rate for inpatient setting for tracking purposes as well as for budget allocation even though the patient is not actually billed for this separately as it is bundled into the DRG or contracted rate. Diana Economan reports that BJH charges $17 for each 15 minute increment. April Kuhlman agreed to post question on professional practice forum with responses to be directed to Lisa Hodges as everyone reported that they do not track in this manner in their facility. Other figures mentioned for private consulting included $80 per visit, $150 per pt per visit to facility and $25 per hour for travel. Emory has $145 listed for initial visit and $80 listed for return visit.
  • The newest edition of Acute and Chronic Wounds (3rd edition) is available.
  • Rhonda Pepmiller asked if anybody else was using the PUSH tool. Responses indicated that they do not.

    Next Meeting:

  • Tuesday, October 3 at 4 pm. Sponsor is Convatec. Location TBA.

    Meeting adjourned at 5:14 pm.

    Respectfully submitted,
    April Kuhlman, Secretary
