WOCN - St. Louis Affiliate

                     Meeting Minutes 6/5/07

                     

 

Meeting called to order at 4:15 pm by Jackie Bangert, Treasurer as Lisa Hodges, President was absent.  

 

Present:  Jackie Bangert, Lyn Kramer, Marge Groom, Roxy Lupien, Elizabeth Moore, Michelle Raines, Linda Geurin, Pam Bowman, Colleen Cole,  Beverly Pool, Marsha McGuire, Lucy Atchley, Retta Sutterfield, Elizabeth Borsay, Bev Mittrucker, Dolores Drury, Krista David, Audrey Moyer

1.     Previous minutes approved wth one change “keep track of the number of hours devoted…as opposed to house”.  Motion made by Marge Groom, seconded by Pam Bowman.  Motion carried.

2.     Secretary Report—
April Kuhlman, Secretary absent. 

 

 

3.     Website contract— WOCN St. Louis will pay for all fees associated with website including software selected by April Kuhlman to create new website, domain name registration and website hosting.  We will pay April Kuhlman $450 annually.  Lyn made motion and Colleen seconded, motion carried.  The membership requests to know number of hits to website.  WOCN St. Louis will approve the final website design at a meeting by the end of the year and use a temporary website in the meantime.

 

Conferences: 

 

WOCN Conference—Salt Palace Convention Center—Salt Lake City, UT  June 9-13, 2007

 

Midwestern Region Burn Conference—Hilton Minneapolis at St.  Paul, MN airport—Sept 20-21, 2007

 

Diabetic Limb Salvage—Washington D.C.—Sept 27-29, 2007

 

4.     Treasurer’s Report—

 

Cash on hand at beginning of month:  $24,107.65

Total income: $ 72.00             

Total expenses: $ 500.00                                                                    

Cash on hand at end of month:  $23,679.69

 

                        Marge Groom made motion to approve report, Pam Bowman seconded, motion carried.

 

5.     At the October meeting, we will discuss our UOAA donation for 2007.

6.     Colleen Cole gave a short report on SAWC.  New buzz words:

“stop inflammation”—use steroids, antibiotics, hydration.  She also attended post conference on coding. 

7.     Products—A discussion of AMD gauze was had.  Retta Sutterfield did a case study on this product.

8.     Member news—Beverly Pool is having surgery for diverticulitis on 6/11/07.  Jackie Bangert is going on a medical mission to Brazil through Healing Hands.
