Meeting Minutes 10/2/07

 

Meeting called to order at 4:08 pm by Lisa Hodges, President.

 

Present: April Kuhlman, Lucy Atchley, Becky Toennies, Michelle Raines, Cathy Heel, Liz Moore, Retta Sutterfield, Lisa Hodges, Lyn Kramer, Pat Donald, Kathi Thimsen, Susie Tuttle, Jackie Bangert, Marsha McGuire, Liz Borsay, Betty Nittler, Roxy Lupien, Betsy Naeger, Linda Newberry, Janette Dietzler, Christine Heady.

 

1.       Vote to approve previous minutes without changes. Motion made by Becky Toennies, seconded

by Pat Donald. Motion carried.

 

2.       Secretary Report—April Kuhlman, Secretary. Nothing new to report at this time.

 

3.       Website Update—April Kuhlman, Webmaster. Email sent with new website page. Positive feedback received from all those who have replied. Asked for vote to change over website to new page. Motion made by Pat Donald, seconded by Lisa Hodges. Motion carried. April also discussed possibility of adding paypal option in future to pay dues and for Holiday party etc. Group seemed very interested. April will explore further

 

4.       Treasurer Report—Jackie Bangert, Treasurer. Cash on hand as of 8/1/2007: $19,830.30 in savings, $3,843.99 in checking for a total of $23,674.29. Income: $24.00 (dues), $5.97 (interest), $463.32 from matured CD. Expenditures: $0. Total $24,167.61. The CD was renewed for 7 mos. Motion made by Becky Toennies to accept report, seconded by Lisa Hodges, motion carried.

 

5.       UOAA Report—Betsy Naeger. Meeting last night. Holiday party is Thursday 12/13 at 6:30 pm in St. Luke’s Atrium. May schedule visitor training in Oct/November.

 

6.       UOAA 2007 Donation—Decision made to keep donation at $500. Will be presented to Susan Burns.

 

7.       Holiday Party-December 2007—Lisa Hodges. Will be held at sunset 44. $200 deposit made which is applicable to final bill. Parking is free. Party is December 4.

 

8.       Wound & Ostomy Nurse Survey—Colleen Cole. None as Colleen was absent.

 

9.       Officer Nominations—Nominees for President include April Kuhlman and Marge Groom. Nominees for Treasurer—Jackie Bangert. Nominees for Secretary include Retta Sutterfield and Linda Newberry.

 

10.   WOCN Positions. None known at this time. Please contact Lisa Hodges with employment listings.

13.   Member news: Rhonda Pepmiller has taken a position at Medical West.

 

14.   Next meeting: December 4, 2007. Holiday Party.
